Georgia BEST Employability Skills Certification

In an effort to better meet the needs of employers in the Middle Georgia region, JCCCA is proud to offer students the opportunity to become certified in employability skills through the Georgia Department of Labor. Students who earn certification will be recognized as follows:

Georgia BEST Cord (to be worn at graduation): Students who successfully complete Georgia BEST lessons in their CTAE course and are then registered by their instructor for certification.

Georgia BEST Elite Cord (to be worn at graduation): Students who successfully complete Georgia BEST lessons in their CTAE course and are then registered by their instructor for certification AND complete a job shadow experience AND 4 hours of documented community service.

Some of our wonderful industry partners have made brief videos on various employability skills just to let students know how important they are in the workplace, and to create meaningful conversations in the classroom.
